The owner of a California store that sells gun parts to build rifles from scratch is refusing to turn over his customer list to federal officials.
Dimitrios Karras, owner of Ares Armor in Oceanside, told Fox5SanDiego.com that Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents are investigating his business because it sells AR-15 lower receivers, which contain the gun's operating parts.

Palmetto State Armory 1911 Pistols - Palmetto State Armory, the online retailer, had two prototype 1911 pistols on display which they are producing in-house. Instead of trying to compete in the low-end market, these prototypes were match grade pistols with a high level of hand finishing. I asked the company representative what the retail price would be. He replied that they had not determined pricing but because they were match grade we should expect them to be priced accordingly.

The picture is from my local hardware store. They had a great selection of ammo before recent events. They got cleaned out like pretty much everyone else. They're slowly starting to get their supplies lined up.
The picture was taken on 1/26/13. You'll note the prices for the incoming stock. It's not as good as before the panic (e.g. PMC 223 was about $350 and now it will be $400).
Hang it there just a little bit longer.

i know its not a deal. But it used to be a good deal site.
Groupon has suspended all gun-related daily deals. The move will please those calling on Groupon to change its policies, but at least one gun shop owner is livid about his deal being canceled midway through.
Ive requested refunds for my current groupons. I just dont understand why they do not want to promote a safer gun culture.

We developed this to help us keep track of the guns that are hard to find. Most AR15, AK47, Hi Cap magazines, Semi Auto rifles and some handguns are included. Close to 1500 products are being tracked and stock status and price is automatically downloaded every couple hours. We must petition Obama to uphold our second amendment rights, all of them. Including our right to bear arms that will reasonably defend us from ALL ENEMIES foriegn or domestic. We must also educate the public as the media and goverment have demonized the words "assualt weapon". In fact there has not been any type of "assualt weapon" used in any of the recent shootings. An assualt weapon is a weapon with selective fire. If we move forward on the assualt weapon ban we move towards the total disarming of Americans. Where will the line be drawn?

The Firearm Blog has more information about the next generation of assault rifles from the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant (Izhmash), Russia. "Izhmash has officially unveiled the first working prototype of the AK-12 Assault Rifle. According to Max Popenker there will be two models, a Light model (5.45x39mm, 5.56x45mm and 7.62x39mm) that accepts all magazines that work with existing AK rifles, as well as a new 60 round quad stack magazine, and a Heavy (7.62x51mm) model that will use a new magazine."

Guns America from Shot Show - So far the biggest story I have seen at SHOT Show 2012 is the XDS from Springfield Armory. It is a single stack .45ACP that holds 5 rounds in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. The barrel is 3.3 inches, and the overall length is 6.3 inches. It is only one inch thick.
