Guns.com - BREAKING: Senate Rejects Bipartisan Plan to Expand Background Checks, Assault Weapons Ban - Since the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, the U.S. Senate did as President Obama asked and debated and voted on plans to curb gun violence. As a result, none of the proposals — for or against gun rights — gained enough votes for approval this afternoon.

Here is a new law we should debate

Instead of wasting time and tax payer money debating over stupid laws that wont prevent violence in the first place.

Those idiots that were elected by the majority of stupid voters people should BAN Bombs, screwdrivers,Cars, planes, trains instead of banning the so called assault rifle (which is just a rifle) and the so called high capacity magazine.

If we apply the same stupid LOGIC that most misinformed voters have then we should ban everything from cars to planes to swimming pools because they to kill people.

My Boss who claims to be a republican but is somehow against GUNs said that nobody should own a gun. Criminals commit crimes with illegal guns they stole from homeowners. So boss blames the homeowner for being irresponsible for not keeping the gun away from the criminal..

I said awesome.. Give me the keys to your car.. You are not good enough for it.. Your logic is worse than my 8 year old. Look someone just stole your car and guess what... That criminal killed somebody when they got into a car accident.. So now I am blaming you for being an irresponsible car owner.

Should we ban cars too??? I told my small minded boss.. Boss said.. well thats different.. I said oh really how so?? it is not. The problem is you (Boss) have an opinion ( i respect it) and I have an opinion too and you should respect it also. If you (boss) dont want to have any guns.. thats your perogative and your problem.. I have my guns and you should respect my wishes because I respect yours.

Then I ended by saying.. When the zombies come a knocking at your door dont come a knocking at my door for help.

You are wrong. Hate is love, war is peace, a cut is a increase, and a lie is a version of the true. Trying to talk like a demorat. is hard for me.

I was hoping the background check thing would go through.. then we could finally say "We closed the 'Gunshow loophole!'"

In it's final form (from what I read) it was going to do 2 things:
Make it so FFL's at gunshows MUST CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS!
and so that People buying guns online MUST CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS!
and didn't apply to individual sales :).
(In other words, nothing would change.. except for the fact that we could say publicly "we fixed that damned gunshow loophole once and for all")

It's funny, I was joking with somebody about someone putting a stop to the "Background Check" laws after they realized these laws were already on the books - gotta wonder if that's actually what happened heh

NEWSFLASH

Every gun show i have been too if you want to buy a firearm a background check will be performed just like buying at the storefront.

I have no idea what people are talking about.

FFL no matter what needs a background check if they sell guns, there's no loophole, just perception.
I kinda want them to expend it, but the system in place is not even enforced if there is a criminal that lies on the form or tries to get gun, also there are sometimes it don't even work and will pass thou it should not. Police do enforce it right now so why expend it when they don't use it, fix the useless system then expend it instead of wasting tax money for the amount of people and system they would need to increase.

while I see your point, the more we give in the more they will continue to go after so I am glad they failed here.

lol I knew somebody would say that.. and it's true. My thought is this though: The public in general is ignorant about firearms/laws. If you ask a random person who's not a big shooter about guns/laws you'd be amazed at some of the responses you'd hear.

If they can make a big show, say "WE'VE FIXED THE GUN LAWS!" and make the sheeple of the world feel like they've won, so they can finally move on.. all without changing ANYTHING, I think we're doing pretty good.

On the other side though you're right, it could be just enough to make 'em feel like it's a fight they can finally win.

again while I see your point I would have to point out all the law changes in the 80s and 90s. If those were not enough this would not be either. Every time we give something up sure it may appease them awhile but 5 or 10 years down the road they will come back for more. It is better to stop them dead in their tracks and say we are done giving up our rights.

I have the answer... Ban pressure cookers instead.

The problem is that it's a cage fight with these "gun-grabbers". New laws, new "bans" are a panacea. The "Justice" department is a corrupt gun-walker to the cartels. 2,000 guns lost track of, many dead or will die from these guns. Eric Holder helped set up the pardons of the Puerto Rican terrorists in the Clinton administration, and Fast & Furious should have buried his career in the outhouse of history. Last year the FBI referred hundreds of cases to the Justice Dept. for prosecution and were rejected because it was not where they were putting their resources. The criminals got a big break because many were part of the protected classes of Democratic voters. But Noooooooooooooooooo! Through direct and relentless actions, piecemeal and subterfuge, taxing, limiting, banning and any method necessary will these people wrest our 2nd amendment away from the American people. What they say is diversionary, inflammatory and not relevant.

And now.......... start the impeachment proceedings. So much for placing his hand on the Bible and swearing an oath to protect the Constitution. The bastard wanted Holder to give him a free pass to murder us all at our breakfast tables using drones. NDAA, Bengazi, cornhusker kickback, election fraud, etc., etc., etc...
