Description

The picture is from my local hardware store. They had a great selection of ammo before recent events. They got cleaned out like pretty much everyone else. They're slowly starting to get their supplies lined up.

The picture was taken on 1/26/13. You'll note the prices for the incoming stock. It's not as good as before the panic (e.g. PMC 223 was about $350 and now it will be $400).

Hang it there just a little bit longer.

Obozo and Feinstank guns and ammo salesmen of the century! But wait it's not fair that only people with jobs have guns and ammo now the liberals have to arm all the shtbags on welfare as well so it's "fair"

This belongs in the forum as a proper discussion not wasting space on the front page where we look to actually be able to buy something.

I wouldn't really call this newsworthy when so many ammo deals are being posted on here already (barring the backorders being posted lol), and still takes up front page space when you hit all deals for the last 24 hours, no offense intended. And who's Francis? :P

First, it's "Lighten up, Francis...", and it's from the movie "Stripes". During the sit-down meet-and-greet at boot camp, Francis Soyer told everyone to call him Psycho, not Francis, or he'd kill them. Likewise, if anyone touched his stuff, he'd also kill them. When Francis was finished his threatening introduction, drill Sergeant Hulka said, "Lighten up, Francis." When someone says, "Lighten up, Francis," they are suggesting that the listener calm down. Personally, this ad didn't bother me. It's inspiring, and the ad shows the price of an item.

Walmart already raised their prices as well.

Walmart is using this opportunity to increase its prices. UMC 250 rounds bulk pack .45 230 grain ball ammo is now $108.00 , was $98.00 last month.

It will be priced higher when it finally shows up in April-May...

Everything will be priced higher. Which with all the crying lately I hope half of you don';t buy any and keep dreaming about where the prices use to be.

Everyone is stockpiling that can afford it right now. Along with a lot of new people entering the market. I keep reading about people who have 3,4, 6 or more lower AR receivers along on order. And tons of magazines. With prices and people getting a stockpile established, demand will tapper off. Prices might be lower (but higher than before), but I think by summer (assuming no legislation passes) sales will be back and prices closer to before just to keep inventory moving. Maybe even some great deals as some people wonder what they will do with a dozen receivers and 300 magazines lol.

I suspect it will ease up in early May or June after the tax returns have been spent.
