FEATURES
Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce the long-awaited release of the 9mm JAKL! This platform is built around a 6105 monolithic upper receiver designed to be compatible with the AR-V lower receiver. The PSA JAKL offers a buffer system that is fully captured in the upper receiver, shortening the overall length of the firearm. Completed with an F5 MFG JAKL pistol brace.
The PSA 9mm JAKL features a direct blowback design with a 17-4 stainless steel bolt carrier group. Our side charging handle is ambidextrous, allowing the user to change positions to the left or right side of the receiver without the use of tools. Field stripping and removal of the JAKL carrier, recoil assembly, and sled assembly can all be done without tools for effortless cleaning.

That’s the regular price, it’s not even on sale.

I can't see justifying a grand for a 9mm PCC when you can get a Stribog for several hundred less. Is PSA really upping their game that much?

Where? Stribogs start over $1k

Been watching it for few weeks because I want a copy, PSA puts it here as an on sale item but the price hasn’t changed in weeks.

I agree with this gun being to high but a stribog is definitely not a better option lol both the SP9A1 and the A3 have SO many issues.

You nailed it Hank!

I really appreciate their innovation (on many projects), however I am not looking to help them offset the R&D that much by overpaying on a project/item that honestly has brought very little that’s new to the table we haven’t seen elsewhere—for years already.

And exactly, PCCs have some real world applications, but for most of us (me especially) they are a “fun gun.” My entertainment matters, but stroking near $1100 for “more of the same” for essentially a range toy is a steep ask from any company.

Bog for the win!

I don't get it either. The 9mm JAKL's are cool, just not $1100 cool. There are half a dozen other 9mm PCC's for far less, a few made by PSA even. Most with far longer track record as well.

Would you be so kind as to list some of the cheaper options? I am in the market and the one that had caught my eye, the Blade6, is OOS *everywhere*

I have not personally shot nor handled the 9mm Jakl but have the .300 and it was heavy and bulky.

I think they indeed look cool and the mag cross compat. is def a plus!

Having operated a Stribog SPA3S for over a year now, a Dissent, FM9 3.75”, Extar EP9, and a B&T USW 17, the Bog and Dissent are FAR and AWAY The best guns for a multitude of reasons, but largely due to them not being direct blowback system. The FM, EP9 and B&T (essentially a G17) and the now this Jakl are all direct blowback.

The Bog and Dissent and not only less fatiguing on the shooter, they are considerable faster for follow up shots. PM me for a video of shooting the (bone stock) Bog at what sounds like a slow cyclic rate on steel at 15 yards. People who have seen the video are like, “It that full auto?!”

Braggin on the gun, not me. The Dissent also can be shot rather fast as it too comes with an outstanding trigger. Both suppress well and offer multiple mag choices as well. Tons of folks poo-poo’d the straight gen 1 mags for the Bog, but the 20/30 round straight mags have ran fantastic for me during the year of shooting. Oh and GMW has em for like $10.99 year round.

I could continue as to why many of these are better choices, but the biggest is gonna be price. ALL but the Dissent cost less, ALOT less and even the EL Cheapo Extar has a “dampened” blowback design (which is noticeable in shooting and its $449 (no SBT brace).

There’s also that one bugaboo of that wacky mag release PSA decided to bring over from the ARV 9 for whatever god-foresaken reason. More than a few pewtubers have not had the best praise for that wonky lil guy.

I think if the were to unfuck that, offer a radial/roller delay system than we might have a real competitor to the market (plus lower the price more in line with an “actual” recent comeptitor, the Kuna), then PSA may just have a real winner.

This is going to be my next purchase! These are great looking firearms and so far from the reviews I've seen, most are positive and have high marks. If anyone owns one and cares to share their experiences with them, I'd be all ears and open to your opinion.
