Guns.com - First look at the Edge Arms Reliant quad-barrel derringer (VIDEO) - The Reliant has four barrels for double or quadruple the capacity of your average derringer. Their initial offerings will be chambered for .22 Magnum, .17 HMR and .380 ACP. It’s not an entirely new concept, similar to the Mossberg Brownie.

Sounds like a solution looking for a problem. He says it eliminates the risk of fails from the mag and ejection port but it introduces a new potential fail mode with the rotating firing pin. Also, for only a 17hmr, 22 mag, or 380 that's a huge gun. Another thing, if it's DAO "just like a revolver" then why does it have a grip safety? Seems like the only situations this gun would be good for would be face-to-face threats where you don't have time to pull your gun from pocket/purse or you're struggling with the bad guy who has his hands on your gun. In both of those cases you might not be able to grip the gun properly to depress the safety. For these types of rare situations you may be better off carrying a knife instead of this gun.

It does look pretty solid though. So, after you've struggled with your assailant and shot all 4 rounds in random directions (hitting nothing) you should be able to use this as a very effective club.

Why bother. Just get a revolver then. That is the biggest "derringer" I've seen.

Revolver is good but pistol is slimmer. Easy to carry.

..... 0% chance that this pistol is slimmer, easier to carry or as reliable as an LCR or Smith Air Weight. Not to mention grossly underpowered in Comparison. I could invent Square Wheels just to be different but it doesnt mean they would work worth a shit. Haha

Also note that its available in 17 HMR. Wtf?! Hahaha what possible advantage could that bring?
