The rule as amended requires licensees (FFLs)- who sell more than (1) semiautomatic rifle within a 5 day period, greater than .22lr, that also accepts a detach box magazine- to report ALL SALES to the BATFE. They are apparently striking the "to the same person" language from the existing rule. Could this be a major power grab and a wholesale creation of a nationwide registry should your LGS or FFL sell more than one rifle per week matching these characteristics?

The move will please those calling on Groupon to change its policies, but at least one gun shop owner is livid about his deal being canceled midway through. We must petition Obama to uphold our second amendment rights, all of them. Including our right to bear arms that will reasonably defend us from ALL ENEMIES foriegn or domestic. We must also educate the public as the media and goverment have demonized the words "assualt weapon". In fact there has not been any type of "assualt weapon" used in any of the recent shootings. An assualt weapon is a weapon with selective fire. If we move forward on the assualt weapon ban we move towards the total disarming of Americans. Where will the line be drawn?

Guns.com - Officially dubbed the Gilboa Snake by Israeli manufacturer Silver Shadow, we finally have some solid details about this double-barreled AR-15-based rifle. Strictly speaking, it's more of a Personal Defense Weapon (PDW)-type Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR). The Snake is most notable for its twin 9.5-inch barrels and large matching compensators with jagged standoff teeth, but it should be noted that it's also piston-driven.

The Firearm Blog has more information about the next generation of assault rifles from the Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant (Izhmash), Russia. "Izhmash has officially unveiled the first working prototype of the AK-12 Assault Rifle. According to Max Popenker there will be two models, a Light model (5.45x39mm, 5.56x45mm and 7.62x39mm) that accepts all magazines that work with existing AK rifles, as well as a new 60 round quad stack magazine, and a Heavy (7.62x51mm) model that will use a new magazine."

Guns America from Shot Show - So far the biggest story I have seen at SHOT Show 2012 is the XDS from Springfield Armory. It is a single stack .45ACP that holds 5 rounds in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. The barrel is 3.3 inches, and the overall length is 6.3 inches. It is only one inch thick.
