What do you think, is this BS or not? Little noticed rule change proposal currently sitting open for public comment. The rule as amended requires licensees (FFLs)- who sell more than (1) semiautomatic rifle within a 5 day period, greater than .22lr, that also accepts a detach box magazine- to report ALL SALES to the BATFE. They are apparently striking the "to the same person" language from the existing rule. Could this be a major power grab and a wholesale creation of a nationwide registry should your LGS or FFL sell more than one rifle per week matching these characteristics? Read on, and YES, its may be time to contact your representative.
