The anchor engraved on my Sig MK 25 is cool.
Own it. Love it. Ridiculously accurate slug gun. Off hand, with Win Super X 1oz slugs its shoots ragged holes at 50yrds. I get a flyer here and there but that' me, not the boomstick.
If you do some research, you'll find some who claim it has trouble with low brass. Mine shoots it just fine. I've done several tests in cold temperatures with different target and pheasant loads I couldn't get mine to fail, it has been 100% with everything I've fed it.
Ships with XS sights. Its a slick ghostring/picatinny rail combo that would be well very well paired with a quality red dot. Stock, the sight picture is fast, clear and accurate out of the box. Everyone loves them. The factory pistol grip is made by Choate machine and tool, While it is a quality piece, I'm not a fan of pistol grips so I replaced mine with a traditional 930 style. There are some legit companies like GG&G and Nordic Components making some really trick parts for these things. Not quite an 870 in terms of customization but the parts that are being made are all business.
Anyway, for the money its a great shotgun. While not as refined in the guts as far as the bolt goes, it runs every bit as good as my SLP for almost half the price. Everything is tight, well made and works like it should. Unlike the SLP, I don't have to change parts to run light/heavy loads, although that's sort of a moot point as 18" shotguns are for social work.
Speaking of social work, to top it all off, as an added bonus, it's the Blackwater edition. What's not super bad ass about having the logo of an extremist Christian group of terrorists paid with YOUR tax dollars to kill women and children as they please without legal recourse on your shotgun?... Yeah baby... and you thought that anchor engraving on your Sig was cool.
