The direct impingement (DI) gas system on the AR-15 has been unchanged since the inception of the rifle, largely due to the reliability and simplicity of the design. However, most gas systems on Mil-Spec AR-15’s are over-gassed to ensure a full cycle of the bolt in any condition. This can lead to harsher felt recoil and increased muzzle rise making it difficult to take quick follow up shots. With the addition of the Odin Works adjustable gas block, you can regulate exactly how much gas impinges on the bolt carrier group reducing recoil to almost nothing.

NOTE: This barrel is less than 16” in length. These barrels are intended for use in AR pistol or legal short-barreled rifle builds. Other configurations may violate Federal law.
