The 124 rem is loaded so light it won't cycle a Glock 19 or PSA micro with lightened springs. Junk.

That’s simply not true lol.

It is true. It is my personal experience
And you will find many comments on gun boards with the exact same experience. Winchester white box not exactly plus p is hotter than than the rem. I shared my experience with this junk. What firearms has this anemic ammo worked in for you?

I also find this interesting. I haven't had this problem across many 9mm's. Here is a reference link for velocities: https://ammo.com/ballistics/9mm-ballistics....

The Blazer looks very slightly sleepy but the rest are comparable. Maybe if someone listed their chrono readings and gun details we could find a definitive answer.

I can get it to run in a cz. Not in any striker fired pistol with their more radical cam. As you go to lower spring weight in striker fired other problems are introduced. I've tried. I've got 5 k of it.

With the 19 with factory spring it has failures to feed. Slide does not go fully to rear. With a 16 lb spring failures to go into battery. Say every fifth round.

If you go lighter in recoil springs with a Glock you have to lighten firing pin spring...not really wanting to go further down rabbit hole. I just wanted some range ammo not to respring my guns.

PSA micro is more or less same. Bought lighter springs for it too trying to get it to run.

Same guns run like sewing machines with Speer lawman or S&B.
Here is one discussion about UMC low power factor.
I was surprised used many UMC components over the years and they were fine. Still use many rem components.
I haven't chronoed it don't really care. Does not run in my primarie

Gonna take it gun show and dump it.

Care to share the firearms it runs in for you?

Sorry. My error. In my senility I overlooked your "lightweight" spring use. Those springs would certainly throw some codes and cause all sorts of experimentation. I'm still curious why the 124 Rem fails when the factory specs list identical velocities. Maybe the test barrel was longer. I'll have to chrono some. I have probably 15-20 9mm's on the rack, mostly alloy Sig and Beretta, some CZ and HK, Glock, S&W, FNH, etc., in hammer, striker and external extractor 1911 designs, use only duty weight springs, no subs or suppressors, no steel case, and don't shoot them as much anymore. They tend to be boringly reliable with major brands and reloads, with accuracy as the only variable. The Blazer was the only brand causing problems, and that out of a stiff M17. Oh, and a S&W SD9 which was such a POS that it became a test dummy.
