A cummerbund is great for its precise adjustability; pull it tight to fit you exactly. The downside is that it takes a bit longer to take it off. The QDS fixes that. Pull a cord away from you and the carrier will open on that side for quick removal. The Testudo Gen 3 is made mostly of 500D Nylon, with bar tacks reinforcing all stress points and PALS webbing covering the outside.

We favor 500D Cordura for its balance of flexibility and durability, and that makes up the majority of the carrier. The shoulder straps are made of Hypalon.
