For coverage, this Testudo 2.0 Plate Carrier is able to hold the biggest size the industry offers (11”x14”) as well as the more common 10”x12”. For comfort, generous padding prevents chafing and a fully adjustable cummerbund and shoulder straps let you choose the ideal fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution since the size itself can be changed to best suit you. The Testudo also has plenty of PALS webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. On the PALS is an application of Velcro, offering superior versatility for placement of medical, moto, or other patches or gear. Made of a steel-alloy blend and a multi-hit special threat resistance, the curved A1 body armor provides Level III+ protection and is capable of defeating 5.56x45 M855A1 (AP) rounds at velocities of up to 3,100 FPS, 7.62x51 M61 (AP) round at velocities up to 2,800 FPS, and all lesser threats with multi-hit capability. This plate has a durable FragLock™ base coating, which gives both fragmentation protection and seals the plate to ensure its 20-year shelf life. The included Trauma Pads are worn behind the steel plates to reduce the blunt-force impact. The Multi-Caliber Rifle Magazine Pouch (triple) accommodates all common rifle magazines and is capable of accommodating magazines such as 5.56x45 (.223), 7.62x39 AK, or 7.62x51 NATO (.308 Winchester). The pouch is constructed from genuine 500D Cordura nylon with retention flaps that feature an easy-to-grip Hypalon® pull tab. The removable retention strap allows you to adjust magazine capacity and size for the best fit, or even remove it entirely to run an open-top configuration. The pouch also includes a matching pair of MALICE CLIPS® to attach to your MOLLE-compatible platform.
