A new 870 is about $130 more and the stock in the pictures is trashed so the net savings are like $50 for new vs used?

I think these are the things that are going for it:
1. Stock seems fine. It looks like it's just the buttplates that are trashed. But those just seem to be Limbsavers that cost like $20 to replace. And the speed stock itself is better than the regular stock
2. Police magnums seem to be of higher quality than the regular 870s
3. Given where Remington is these days, I'll take an old 870 over whatever new garbage that they are making these days, even if used

All in all, $100 cheaper (25% off) even with the Limbsaver replacement for a better quality gun than whatever they make new these days

Isn't that the case with pretty much all used firearms though?
Even many used pistols aren't much less than new ones on sale.
