Potential buyers should be aware that the KVP H3 buffer, while having the proper weight, is not a traditional H3 buffer with 3 sliding tungsten weights. It uses two brass weights. This change may impact the actual expected performance of the buffer as weight alone (as has been seen with folks that have attempted to use the Odin Heavy Adjustable buffer and had the FRT equipped firearm have light primer strikes and dead triggers) is not the only factor. The sliding action of the 3 tungsten weights acts to counteract carrier bounce as they individual slide forward when the carrier moves fully into battery by providing delayed forward inertia on the carrier.

I'd love to hear from anyone that has used the KVP H3 buffer and their experience with various FRTs. It might work just fine, it might not.

Can confirm the Kaw Valley Precision Heavy H3 Stainless Steel Buffer is NOT the same as a real H3 Tungsten weight buffer. It does NOT work the same and is not functional with the ASD, Atrius, or HSS brand FRTs. Tested with multiple lowers, uppers, bolts, triggers, adjustable gas blocks, buffer springs and NOTHING worked with the KVP. Waste of time and money trying the KVP junky fake "h3" buffer.

You are correct! The actual term for a buffer with sliding weights is called “dead blow buffer”
