Kak customer service is very good. Since KAK switched to manufacturing their own barrels and stopped using Green mountain blanks their barrel quality has been poor in terms of accuracy. They function well. This is a sample of four from various time periods since the inception of their manufacturing their own blanks. Four out of four demonstrated poor accuracy. At this point in time I consider KAK to be almost the same as BCA in terms of barrel quality. KAK may be more reliable. If on a budget do yourself a favor and go Wilson combat often available from Brownells for around $200 with coupon. Rosco Purebred also often provides good value but WC consistently beats them. The next step up is WOA a manufacture with a long reputation for manufacturing quality barrels at a reasonable cost. Up from there is Noveske stainless. If one must absolutely purchase at the lowest possible cost in my experience Anderson is the leader in the $75 -100 barrel range unfortunately with only the standard barrel profiles that are absolutely backwards thicker up front slim to the rear where the most heat goes. Just like Rosco. WC contours are well engineered for their respective weight. KAK has nice contours.and they function well unfortunately as stated from a sample of four none of them shot decent. Contours thicker to the rear not only reflects the reality of heat distribution but also barrel whip and this is true regardless of barrel weight. The standard contour is to accommodate military grenade launcher attachment under the barrel and it detracts from usability for civilian users. The guy that owns KAK is a nice guy but it is what it is. You cant fault a guy for trying but proof is in the pudding, Ill take a backwards profile that shoots over a correct one that doesn't any day. But why when WC gets both right for a little more? A WC barrel and a toolcraft DLC BCG create a very servicable rifle cheap out on the rest if you want. YMMV

Decent thoughts here. FYI - Dvor and Optics Planet also have frequent good prices on WC barrels, but be sure that they are in-stock before buying. Also, don’t forget about Centurion Arms. Excellent accuracy and excellent durability.
