I ordered a couple of them- with a long shipping time. Unfortunately the tracking number doesn't register yet, but I assume it has to show up on these shores before the USPS number is generated.

These fake ones are not Cree. They advertise 5000LM or 3000LM actually you get 800LM or even 500LM. No kidding.

Nothing wrong with Made in China, since pretty much everything is made in China these days.

I fortunately (why I say this word?) to have one (also made in China) from an honest seller (also in China) that is REALLY CREE XM-L2 advertised REALLY AT 1200LM and it happened to be REALLY 1200LM and REALLY BRIGHT. That was years back and price wasn't expensive at all. I REALLY regretted not buying more than one.

Just for the record,

An XM-L puts out roughly 1,000 lumens at 3.2A

Cree officially lists the XM-L2 at 1052 lumens at 3.0a but also lists some bins at 116 lumens per watt at 3amps, which is 1198 lumens at 3amps for a XM-L2 emitter.

It's IMPOSSIBLE for this $2.45 flashlight to put out 3000 lumens. They only way to get 3000 lumens out of a flashlight is with triple XM-L or XM-L2 emitters. This flashlight probably puts out 200-600 lumens, if that.

I build custom R&D Apiary water-cooled LED high watt arrays. I use Argon laser waterblocks and retrofit them for thousands of watts of LEDs. Some of the methods I use are propriety, but they are world class LED lights with no equal. Some of my arrays use 100 or more XM-L2 emitters and tens of dozens LEDs in various spectrums for apiary science R&D. Trust me, I know a fair bit about LEDs.

I would eat my hat and chew on glass if this flashlight put out 3000 lumens.

PS, LickEmStickEm No need for the anti Chinese bashing. If it wasn't for the Chinese, we wouldn't have the recipe for gunpowder. The Chinese alchemists were trying to invent a potion for immortality, by mistake they invented the explosive; gunpowder, so we owe them a debt of gratitude.

If anyone truly believes this puts out 3k lumens think again. Please don't fall for Chinese lies. They eat so much rice & breath in shit filled air that they are retarded. A single t6 cree of this size can not put out that much lumens. Get this chink shit off of gun.deals.
