was wandering where they were made and found this......

don't know what to say never seen a statement about taiwan like that.

Not saying this particular knife is a great deal with good craftsmanship, but a ton of Spyderco and SOG blades are made in Taiwan then the parts are assembled in the US. As long as the company sets up a good quality control program at the factory, they can make some awesome product.

Yeah... I would prefer to buy American and I'll pay extra for it... but most great US made blades are hundreds of dollars and sometimes the budget wins when all I want to do is split wood at a campsite or chop on something half the day.
