An affordable pistol upper assembly without cutting corners. This means using a nitrided steel gas block from an American Manufacturer as opposed to aluminum and quality American Made handguards, paired with a 7.5″ Nitride treated barrel chambered in 300 AAC Blackout.
This also means taking the time to ensure that the upper will function reliably. We use Permatex 242 on key components while using mil-spec AEROSHELL 33MS Anti-Seize grease on the properly torqued barrel nut and muzzle device.

KG M16A1 Upper Receiver matches the features of the original M16A1 Receiver. Perfect for a “Retro” or reproduction build, these uppers precisely mirror the original profile. This match is only possible by utilizing forgings with the proper profile built-in.
KG M16A1 Upper Receiver are the original A1 profile, with no shell deflector, A1 rear sight housing and proper carry handle contours. The upper starts off as a 7075 T6 aluminum forging, then is machined to mil-spec dimensions. The upper is finished with a matte black hard anodized finish. Upper receiver does NOT have M4 feedramps.
