The Smith & Wesson M7P 10 is a gas-powered, semi-auto rifle built on the AR-10 platform, with a capacity of 20 rounds, chambered in .308 Win caliber. Performance Center edition is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and has a capacity of 10 rounds. The trigger is a bit heavy but there is plenty of room within the trigger guard, which is a great alleviator of a heavy trigger. The rifle is ambidextrous too, so both left- and right-handed shooters won’t have any issue with reaching a mirrored magazine release, safety selector, and bolt catch. The barrel is made out of 4140 steel with 1 in 10 inches twist and 5R rifling. The variants feature barrel lengths of 16 or 18 inches, which is a bit short for a .308 rifle, but at the same time gives more versatility. Overall, this is a competitive, very accurate rifle for sports shooters, not particularly recommended for beginners.
