If shipping kills a deal for a gun then you didn't really want it! This is still a very good gun for $400+ shipping I can't think of any better 5" Duty Gun thats better for $400!???

Granted, it's a .40 and not a 9mm. I assume "unissued" is code for "new, but can't be sold as new". What makes it better? The night sights. You do get shorted a mag though.
Are you from Slickdeals? This and "no hdmi" seem to be standard silly replies over there. $20 shipping isn't that bad. I agree it's a little high, but not nearly as bad as the places charging $30.
Also, the site currently shows 2 in stock, so if you want one, you might want to go grab it now.
For the original version, and assumedly for the 2.0 version, you can remove the safety and S&W will send you plugs that go where the safety was, so that there aren't any holes in the frame.
Smith will send you plugs for free... There's no waiting to be done.
Still waiting on the 5" version with no manual safety.

It's .40, not 9mm AND it's 5.43", but no safety. It also isn't in FDE.
I doubt they will make a 5" basic model without safety since it's designed as a Duty Gun. But the performance center models are available without but more pricey.
