Smith & Wesson 640 .357 Mag SS Snub Nose - Very Good Condition

Police Trade in Smith and Wesson 640 .357 Magnum Stainless Steel Snub Nose Revolver. These will either come with S&W rubber grips or Pachmayr Grips (Both grip types pictured). Expect these to show a little bit of external wear from carry. These were carried on duty. These are pre-lock revolvers. Most will be 640-1. This is an excellent chance to get a very popular and extremely reliable ccw revolver at a great price.

When the first all-steel small frame (J) revolver was introduced in 1950, it became an instant success. Originally named the Chiefs Special by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, it has become the first choice for those who insist on an all steel, small frame revolver with greater recoil control and proven performance

I am currently looking at buying S&W Model 10-10 from my gun shop I have been doing business there for four years never had a problem with LEO trade in's and these are priced at $245.00 blushing is excellent and I am going back to do an inspection. If they pass up to grade I just might buy two. These one's on this site it is hard to tell so I can't give a bad review.

Good price on a 10. Do they have a website that you don't mind sharing?

Unfortunately they do not do business on the internet. The name of the store is SURPLUS CITY located inFeasterville Pa. The address is 302 Bustleton Pike. Phone is 215-364-7130 I believe they are on Facebook if you want to try or look up SURPLUS CITY.

Get an LCR... Save the $$$ you'll need for the trigger job the Smith will need & buy more ammo.

I've looked at this gun a couple times, but just can't do it at this price.

Recoil Gunworks was OK to buy from. You have to get your dealer to send a copy of their FFL, unlike many dealers who already have them on file.

I bought one police trade-in from them. They shipped very quickly, but I would say their gun grading was one notch too generous. Think of their 'Like new' as someone else's 'Excellent'. I would expect this 'Very good' to be more like 'good'.

Put it down to $419 and I'm in.

Pass on a gun from Recoil. Does not follow through on sales commitments.
