  • This is a nice "Budget Tactical Sport". It has a steel frame, steel slide, aluminum grips. SAO-only trigger. The trigger was on the good side, but not excellent, out of box. The slide was rough out of the box -- the hammer had a bad rough finish -- but with a little love and lube it is slick as can be now. It has adjustable trigger pre and post travel screws which is a nice touch. The trigger is on the heavier side for a gun like this, but it accepts CZ75 trigger and sear springs (not TS/Shadow 2 springs!). Check out Patriot Defense for those. It also accepts standard CZ75 mags with over 17 rounds. Notes about that: the CZ shadow type mags are different, and the 19 rd mec gar CZ75 mags are actually 17 rd mags with a big baseplate. The baseplate won't fit in the K12's magwell without modification. I got those 19 rounders to work by removing some material on the baseplate. SARUSA also sells extra mags like the ones that come with the gun. Finally, the EGW EAA Super Sight mounts work for this gun, and so I put a Leupold DPP on mine. Mine hasn't had any failures and is a good shooter. I shoot it the cheapest russian ammo I can find and it shoots it fine. All my friends want one now haha. For the price this is a heckin bargain.

This seems much more attainable than a CZ TS Czechmate

    Oh I dunno...
Says they have 3 of the full race Czechmates in stock....the real full race with optics, compensator, thumb rest, hand tuned, model.

I’m sure they do. I meant that they’re more attainable because of the price difference. The TS Czechmates were going for between $3200 and $3500 last time I “czeched”

The CZ TS2 is an incredible gun, as is the TSO. The trigger is amazing on both guns, the weight of the all steel construction feels super solid in the hand and recoil is nil due to the weight & relatively low bore axis.

Too bad they don't make the CZ Parrot any longer, it's easily twice the pistol in all aspects.

Got one when it was $649, nice gun. The grips are not polymer they are aluminum and mine were dark grey, not that light silver that blends into the frame, and look great contrasting the whole gun. Only a few gripes about the gun, one is the front sight. I haven't checked around a ton for a fiber optic front sight but the stock sight is all black and not the best to pickup. Secondly, the screws they used for the grips they glued in place and the metal the screws are made of is not the best so I boogered up the left side grip with a little scratch and never got the screw out. Final gripe and this is really not that bad but the square base plates on the magazines are a biatch to get back on if there is any metal out of line. Other than that, trigger is great, gun shoots great, ate everything I threw at it (I know that is cliche but I really did hit it with basically every kind of 9mm out there). It looks like certain tanfoglio grips will work on the gun if you wanted to run it without the magwell and put one of the full length grips instead of the medium cut grips. I don't do competitive shooting, I bought this gun as a possible segue into that and while I really like it and wouldn't feel bad putting it through its paces for competition, I think I would go for a cz or tanfoglio for actual competition because of parts availability and history, not a knock on this gun but it would be more of a backup. I emailed customer service explaining the grip issue fully prepared to buy another grip set and the blew me off said they had no plans for bringing in parts for this gun, this may have changed by now but I felt that was stupid given the potential of the gun, this is what led me to look at what could possibly be interchangeable on this gun and the tanfoglio's and cz's. Hopefully one of the aftermarket boys will step up and make some stuff for it but god help you if your grip is glued in like mine. On a side note, I would love to have one offered in 10mm. To the commentor tmhgator, I don't see this getting much below $600, when it first came out it was not in the price surge and some places had it for $579, I watch these prices like a hawk and I just don't see that this gun getting much lower than that. I think $579 is more than fair for what you get with this gun, I don't know about 799-900 cause you're getting into the next bracket or at least close to it. If it does get down to $500 I would definitely buy another one for spare parts and just for redundancy.

Resisted buying one of these even though I love the look. This is a beautiful hand gun! Hope they come available again in the low to middle $500 mark!
