Just note that for $799 that does not include the Picatinny rail or any Polish mags (includes 1 promag). Also, the barrel twist is 1:9 not 1:10

RTI just cancelled a bunch of paid orders on VEPR rifles and resisted them on Gunbroker, after Obama banned import of several brands of Russian AK based rifles, for a tidy profit, screwing their customers. Buyer beware.....

I'm sure the military Beryl is legit, but this import hack job does not impress. I think mag availability and affordability is a definite issue.

I dunno I got one of those "polish Radom" pistols from RTI and I expected basically a new AK pistol made in poland from the add, what I got was a mismatched parts kit pistol with at least 3 different SN's so yeah these might be pretty cool but honestly I'm prolly gonna stay away from RTI and the parent company IO after that fiasco.

This is supposed to be one of the most accurate AK platforms money can buy... but after doing some research and watching a couple reviews I can't get past the funky designed muzzle break that's on this rifle. It literally slips over a couple inches of bare barrel before it comes in contact with the threads, and as far as I can tell, leaves you option-less to use any other type of break or compensator. It's a pretty Mickey Mouse set up and leaves you asking the question.. WHY?

I'm in the market for a high quality .223 AK. Would you recommend the Polish Archer or the Arsenal AK from https://gun.deals/product/arsenal-slr-106f-ak74-556-nato-stamped-receiver-5-rnd-mag-no-delay-139999... ?

How do these compare to Veprs that Centerfire Systems is selling?

Well Man, I'm no AK expert, I do have the Polish 1960 with milled receiver from Century which is perhaps the sexiest AK Ive ever seen. From what I understand it is a pretty highly sought after rifle using excellent quality polish parts with a new milled receiver and American made barrel. I don't think I've ever had it to the range and someone not asked if it was for sale. That's about as far as my AK experience gets...

However, just like you I read and ask a lot of questions about what I'm interested in. Everything I've read about this rifle is that its straight up titties. Its a true polish rifle made in the Radom Plant in Poland which supposedly makes it a "legit AK" in the minds of the collectors and purists. The only complaint I've seen is the one I mentioned abouut the screwy brake and the fact the damn thing is crazy expensive. This is a deal compared to the $1400 Atlantic wanted just last week. Plus it comes with two sweet stocks and all the additionals. The quality of fit and finish is supposed to be as good or better than anything in the top tier of AK's... The accuracy is supposed to be wicked for this platform and comes in either the cheap 5.45 or the presently rapist 5.56!

What made this attractive to me is the cheap 5.45 round. Its like ALMOST getting AR build quality and accuracy out of an AK platform. Ar's are expensive to shoot these days.

I'm not an AK expert but if you want something in .223, get an AR, hell you can build a decent m4gery for around $1100 if you do your homework and don't buy at gouger prices. I'm in the market for an AK-74 strictly for the cheap ammo, I bought an AK-47 for the same reason and that's even got a bit expensive lately but I'm still seeing 5.45 for under 20 cents a round. $1100 seems a bit steep though considering 74's were going around the $700 range pre-Sandy Hook. And like Aim said, the muzzle attachment on this just seems dumb and pointless.

I could not agree more... .223 get an AR... But for AK74's ...hell yes. I build mine and i could not be happier. I get my 74 kits from RRC firearms could not be happier
