I did get the upper, I haven't tried it yet. The finish looked good but is not lasting there are six or seven points where it has worn off showing the silver-ish underneath. The only thing I have physically done to it is install on a lower, test magazine fit/function, and install MBUS. Nothing that would cause the markings it displays IMO.

The upper fit ONLY (and very snug too) on a mil-spec PSA lower. It did not fit on a Polymer80, Ep Armory, Genesis CNC, or GWACS CavII.

I ended up modifying the Genesis CNC lower (widening the rear pocket with a dremel) to make it fit.

I will add more once I fire it.

Do not buy AR57 products -- they are junk and out of spec. I ordered three stripped AR57 lowers. None of them would accept buffer tubes. I attempted to wrench one into place and it destroyed the buffer tube threads (my mistake for trying). Sent back for a refund and didn't get much of an apology. I wouldn't use their products for free. Just a fair warning.

I didn't know AR57 made anything except AR57 (AR15 style rifle using 5.7x28 ammo). Interesting...

Beware of AR57 products. I purchased several AR57 multi-cal lowers from them in 2013. All were out of spec and would not accept buffer tubes or parts kits. One of the appeared to fit after some modification and ended up causing damage to my rifle after being fired. It was a nightmare and I have reason to believe that their manufacturing has improved since then.

Is PW Arms in business any longer? I've been trying to contact them about a warranty issue for over a month by phone and e-mail and haven't had any response.

I have no interest either in that handgun, but i do intend (sometime this year maybe) to pick up the AR57 upper for additional AR variety. Just like my 300 BLK upper or my 22LR upper. I've shot the FN57 and the AR57 before neither are anything special (esp at the price of the pistol), but do want that upper :)

I agree, F' the glorified fast pea shooter of the 5.7. No desire due to the overall cost. The FN fiveSeven handgun is a good example of an overpriced platform at $1200. To each their own though.

I have the gen 1 and the tolerances are crap.I have installed a accuwedge and demon tactical takedown pin and it still wobbles. As far as ammo elite ammo and R&R weapons systems sells self-defense ammo.

I've only ever seen two manufacturers of the 5.7x28 round. One is FNH and the other American Eagle. If this is the same upper I've been watching for a while it is cut from one piece of aluminum (billet). No knowledge on the lower. I have 50 round mags I picked up for $25 each some time ago. I have no desire for a complete rifle just want the upper to swap in and out. I may use the 4-pay from Sportsmans Guide for one.

Also: I have been watching AR57 pistol uppers. I've only seen them on Gunbroker, but those look nice too. Same price as full size upper though.

Very interesting. I'd legitimately consider buying one once they advertise better with: specification of WEIGHT; listing price of extra mags; a video illustrating function and accuracy; oh yeah..... And a 5.7 pistol to compete with and bring down the ASSANINE price of the Five seveN!! I'm perpetually stunned why no one is manufacturing Five SeveN competitors (aside from the usual MPA P.O.S.)-- while buyers continue to pay $1300-1500 for a piece of plastic. I'd love to get into the 5.7x28, but will not pay that based on principle (i mean sh$!, FN Five seveN makes POF and NEMO look like Walmart special pricing)

Is it possible there are patent issues? I'm too lazy to "Google" it. At one time I thought even the round was proprietary, but my thoughts are often wrong.

You're probably right. When Federal/American Eagle started manufacturing the ammo I thought maybe no patent infringement concerns. Who knows, I'm too lazy to research as well. It just seems like if MPA is getting in the game, maybe someone producing quality would jump in as well. Heck, I'd pay $800-$900 for the Five seven, but the extra $500 really makes it painful (especially with the option of the keltec that fires 22mags, or even just using the 22LR rounds that zip at 1600fps). Whatever, just babbling. After 6 month wait, I just got my 9 tax stamps (including 2 for 22 cal cans), so I started ruminating again about the PS90 and the pistol.
