Swim without tiring. Tested independently to the NIJ Level III benchmark, the P3 plate stops the 7.62x51 M80 Ball at 2780 FPS. Polyethylene stops threats by “capturing” the bullet in its material- the heat of the bullet partially softens the front of the polyethylene, allowing the bullet into the material, where it then is stopped by the remaining fibers within the plate. As the bullet slows down, the polyethylene then rehardens. Because of its unique way of stopping bullets, polyethylene is able to take multiple hits without shattering. Only PE hard armor can provide rifle-rated protection at under three pounds. It also floats in water & features a hydrophobic wrap. The (upgrade option) Multi-Caliber Rifle Magazine Double Pouch accommodates all common rifle magazines and is capable of accommodating magazines such as 5.56x45 (.223), 7.62x39 AK, or 7.62x51 NATO (.308 Winchester). This particular bundle offers this pouch in its double configuration; this means it can carry up to two magazines in each of the two pouches, sewn together for easy accessibility. Each pouch of the (upgrade option) Multi-Caliber Pistol Magazine Pouches accommodate all common pistol magazines, in single or double stack form, from .22LR to .50AE and everything in between, including 5.7.The (upgrade option) Trauma Pads are a non-newtonian material that absorbs compressive force to mitigate the blunt impact that otherwise causes secondary injuries after an incoming bullet is stopped.
