The Plan B Alcatraz flash hider is precision CNC machined from 17-4 stainless steel with an H1150 heat treatment applied to the stainless body. The H1150 designation refers to the age-hardening condition of the 17-4 stainless alloy, which provides a balance of strength and corrosion resistance suitable for high-temperature muzzle device applications. The black nitride finish is applied over the heat-treated stainless body and provides additional corrosion resistance and enhanced wear resistance across the flash hider exterior. The compact multi-prong flash hider design addresses flash signature at the muzzle on .22 caliber platforms. The 1/2x28 right-hand direct thread mount is compatible with AR-15, 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, .224 Valkyrie, and other firearms utilizing 1/2x28 barrel threads. The Plan B compatible design allows this flash hider to serve as the host interface for Plan B compatible suppressor mounting systems.
