Description

These are custom made, finished cyclindrical parts that fit over the stock bolt handle assembly and locked in place with a small amount of epoxy or JB Weld. Available in black anodized or silver tumble finish, will not affect timing, no tools required. A great look and tremendous value compared to buying an entire bolt handle assembly. Predator sold hundreds of these on ebay in 2011. Shown on a Marlin. The factory bolt handle assembly is not included. Add the word "gun.deals" to your payment note for a 10/22 version and we'll add a 10/22 bolt buffer free to your order!

Hi, I'm terribly sorry for any confusion, however this was always meant to be permanently attached via epoxy. It's impossible to wobble if epoxied in place as directed. These are custom made to a precise inner diameter to fit just over the asymmetrically curved Ruger bolt handle - far enough to be be secured, yet without being bulky. Just in case someone else misses it, here's the description and instructions directly from the item listing on our product page.

"This is a custom made, finished cyclindrical part that fits over the stock bolt handle assembly, the factory bolt handle assembly is not included. Although not required, for best results remove the bolt handle first. Press to fit / tap tight over the stock Ruger 10/22 and Mossberg bolt handle. On the Marlin cylindrical style handle, the extension easy fits over the factory knob. Place a dab of 24 hour epoxy inside the lower 1/3 of the cylinder for the Ruger and Mossberg, then place the cylinder over the factory bolt handle. Optionally fill the rest of the cylinder, and in about an hour smooth the epoxy with your finger tip. For the Marlin, just coat the bolt handle then slip the cylinder over."

I ordered one for my 10/22, being that they are "custom made" I figured they'd slip on and be a snug fit and if you wanted it to not fall off you'd put a dab of epoxy on it. I was wrong, this is just a metal tube that rests on the bolt. It is wobbly and doesn't fit well, reason being your fitting a round piece on a square piece. Just doesn't sit right. And when they mean a bit of epoxy to attach it on your bolt they mean fill the tube up and hope it sits the way you want it when it drys. I know its $7 but I thought I was getting a better fitting product. If you plan on never taking this off and you want to epoxy it on, then this is for you. It will definitely work, I just felt a little deceived when I opened it up.

I ordered one for my 10/22 and it fit snugly without epoxy. Maybe your charging handle was more worn than mine. New charging handles are cheap (MidwayUSA) so ordering a replacement is not a big deal if you decide to return it to stock. I think these are a great alternative to the aftermarket charging handles which seem to start at around $35 and go up from there.

Not sure why this deal is getting dinged for 3 stars - we had a huge positive response when we sold on ebay, have never discounted anywhere else, and other than our part you'd have to spend over $30 to have a larger bolt handle. If anyone purchased one and has a problem please contact us directly, we're here to help.

The rating is based on how good of a deal based on if someone cares most likely. The rating is not based on the quality of the product but basically a "who gives a !@#$". If your handle had a Magpul logo on it I'm sure this would be five stars :) I think the deal is good and voted with my dollars.
