It is adjustable between male T-shirt sizes Medium to XXXL. The A3 is a winner-take-all plate and our most advanced alloy model. It’s only 0.7” thick and unbelievably light at 4.6 pounds. It stops multiple hits of 5.56x45MM, M193 Ball, M855, and 7.62x51mm NATO Ball. The front is steel alloy; the back is polyethylene. You get two of these to go inside either the Testudo or Veritas carrier. The Veritas Lite (Latin for “Truth”) is a slimmed-down version of our standard Veritas plate carrier. The Veritas lite will accommodate any 10” x 12” size armor plate or panel insert. It includes MOLLE webbing on the front side for attaching any pouches, gear, and accessories. The A2 is rated to stop M855/SS109 rounds at speeds of up to 3,000 FPS and AK-47 rounds (7.62x39) and M80 NATO Ball at 2,850 FPS. Due to the strengths of steel, these plates stop several tight groupings virtually anywhere on the surface. This means it is both multi-hit capable and edge-to-edge protecting. Steel is also especially resistant to backface deformation, the plate’s changing shape from the bullet’s impact. You also get two of these plates. The Freeman is a unique carrier that employs the included 9x9” A2 Plates. This armor system prioritizes killzone organs - the heart and lung area near the heart. It protects against .308, Green Tip, M193, and other threats while being compact enough to fit into a backpack or under a car seat. It is also lighter and easier to put on. In this package, you get two full kits; two carriers and four armor plates. The Phoenix Armored Backpack is a low-profile armor system that weighs 3.15 pounds. It provides a bullet-resistant Level IIIA soft armor panel, protection which covers multiple hits of 230GR .44 Magnum @ 1,430 FPS (and all lesser threats). The backpack has a soft armor panel sewn into the back layer of the pack. You get two armored backpacks in this package.
