AR15.COM Complete Bolt Carrier Group

Bolt is Carpenter 158 steel, MPI, HPT, shot peened with a tool steel extractor and black extractor insert and tension enhancing o-ring

Carrier is chrome lined with chrome lined, hardened gas key and Grade 8 cap screws staked per Mil-Spec

Everything but the coating is Mil-Spec.

The available ionbond coating:
- Reduces coefficient friction
- Increased wear resting from foreign abrasive materials
- High pitting and corrosion resistance
- High integrity of surface structure
- Better adhesion to base materials
- Absorbs oil and retains lubricating benefits longer

Ionbond has all the attributes of chrome, improves wear resistance and reduce friction; thereby greatly increasing service life without the pitfalls of chrome such as flaking and a bright finish.

How does this compare to Nickel Boron? I was holding out for those to come down to normal prices, but this is intriguing.

These are not grey like the picture shows but a lighter black/brown color. I bought these when they were $199 so obviously this is a good deal. It's pretty similar to Nickel Boron just not chrome in appearance.

I did a lot of research on these and guys at ARFCOM (AR-15.com) all had good things to say about these BCG's. There are no names or nothing said about who manufactures them except that the parts from ARFCOM seem to be of decent-high quality.
