It took all of 2.5 weeks to get the two I ordered, but I am glad I waited. These are decently bright flashlights, and you cant beat it for $7, great that it only takes 1 AA and not a CR123. This thing really throws well at night, its definitely not 300 lumens, but I've yet to try it with a 14500 battery. Wish i wouldve gotten more to give as gifts. One thing to note is that the credit card service Tomtop uses adds in the exchange rate, so i ended up paying like...$7.30 for each of mine. Maybe papyal would be better? Very happy, i carry one on my belt all the time now!

This is my second review. Recently I purchased an Olight T10. for comparison, and also the 14500 batteries and charger from Amazon Prime.

I hadn't given this light much thought, and was letting my kids use them for play toys, Last week we had major flooding during a tornado warning and had lost power.
I was using what I thought was my 'good'. Olight flashlight to look out the back porch at the flooding. My son used The little TomTop light and was able to get a brighter hot spot at a greater distance than I could.

Finally in a real world scenario this little light proved its worth, currently it is my best thrower, the square hotspot that I had complained about while shining walls turns out to be much better when using at long distance..

I am impressed and plan on buying more of them.

these are indeed very bright flashlights. I finally received 14500 battery and it is at least 30% brighter than before, however it does get hot after 5-10 minutes and the battery does not last nearly as long, but these are rechargeable batteries and the charger is only like $5...

Mine arrived in 2 weeks, nice flashlight for the money - really bright when focus all the way tight. Beam pattern is indeed square at max zoom but it lights up 100 yards away when using the 3.7v battery.

Does not overheat like other lights. Lube the focus housing to make it feel nicer.

Impressed.

i have bought 9 of these, 4 with the rechargeble 14500 batteries, and 5 without. with AA batteries it is bright, but it really "shines" with the 14500's a very capable light, for it's size...i am buying ten more, as the price when i originally bought it has gone up

where do you buy those batteries? do they have to be rechargeable?

Worth $7 not Worth $14 --
Let's stipulate this flashlight is worth $7; it might even be a $10 flashlight but keep it real. The wide angle focus is useful and the small flood makes this a good walking to the outhouse in the campground at night flashlight, it doesn't have the power or throw to be a blind the bad guy flashlight.

My every day carry light is a relatively inexpensive ($35) Fenix E21 with the Cree XP-E LED and 2 x AA batteries. It claims 150 lumens on high and 48 lumens on low but compared to this appears twice as bright and throws four times as far. I'm not sure how they measure lumens in China but there is no way this thing is 300LM.

I have a couple of these. They are pretty bright, though I have never measured to verify the 300 Lumen claim. Be advised that shipping takes a LONG time. I think it took a few weeks to get mine. I was beginning to think the order didn't go through or I got scammed, but then eventually they came.

They're a bit bulky in width, but they have a focusing mechanism by extending out the bezel. I have some other 1 AA LED flashlights that have more modes and are smaller for EDC, but this one is the brightest. I think it's a little bulky in circumference/diameter for EDC, though. Certainly do-able, but for a functional EDC light I don't need 300 lumens and have smaller, more versatile lights that fit the bill. They have the same switch as a lot of the other Chinese 1 AA flashlights. But all in all, it's worth the $6 it costs, IMO.

Is it just me but do TomTop's "customer reviews" seem like complete B.S. concocted by an employee?

I've been wanting to try one of these out. If it is not as good as the reviews, I'll just give it as a gift!!!

Mine finally arrived today I ordered on the 1st

For comparison I also have a ultrafire 502b and a Coleman Cree flashlight rated at 90lumen
, for now I am only using AA's. This is not near as bright as the ultrafire, but 3x to 4x as bright as the Coleman, it's not really all that good of quality as the read switch threads are not good and it is hard to get threaded on with a battery in place. Also their is no silver cone thing. Only a convex lens with adjustable flood/spot

Funny thing is when in spotlight mode the only light shining on the wall is the shape of the Cree diode.

Yeah it's 6 bucks and much brother than anything at Walmart..

Anyone knows about a good deal on high output 3.7V batteries for this flashlight? I would prefer rechargeable, but any input is appreciated.

Only difference is that i'm really excited about his flashlight and I keep checking my mailbox everyday lol.

Finally. This sucker is the brightest flashlight I have ever owned. It seem pretty durable and made of some kind of aluminum or other metal, not cheap plastic as I expected. My only complaint is that when I focus the beam its square shaped not round.

Its extremely bright and blinding when you look directly at the light. I am happy that its so compact it goes everywhere with me, and uses a common battery. Only time will tell how good the quality will last since it IS only 8 Bucks and made in china... its so bright it can illuminate a house four houses away from mine

it does look really bright but the light color is a bit odd? what are your impressions?

extremely bright!!! Not sure about 300 lumens, but still the brightest flashlight I have seen (although I haven't seen that many). I have a big old Maglite that uses C or D batteries and this little light outshines it easily. Use high quality and high output batteries for better brightness.

To be honest, I ordered the flashlight, but I don't think it will last long enough where I will need rechargeable batteries :)

I pulled the trigger, for $6 bucks it will be a nice toy for my kids, of course, after I drain the batteries :)
