I agree, these are pretty fun. I got one real cheap used, and ended up loving it and buying the longer barrel and all that... Then I bought another whole pistol with the range kit.

The recoil springs are weak, and easily bent when taking the gun apart. If you call Phoenix Arms, they will send you several for free.

You do want to be careful and not shoot real high velocity rounds in these, they can easily crack. I got some little stick-on buffers off ebay that pad the frame during recoil and it protects it when using non-subsonic ammo.

A fun little toy, but they really should be cheaper when they have to compete with a GSG 1911-22 that keeps going on sale for 199.99....

I bought one of these a couple years ago, just a 3" for $150 out the door. I had no idea what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised by its reliability. So pleased that I went ahead and bought a 5" barrel and extended magazine with a pinky grip to go with it. It's certainly not fancy and the recoil spring is a little weak, but it is one of the few firearms I own that has NEVER had a misfire. I've put around 1000 rounds down range with it, mostly cheap remington golden bullet, some federal, and some CCI, and all of it has cycled just fine. With the 5" barrel and pinky mag it's accurate enough. With the 3" barrel it makes an acceptable last ditch pocket pistol, but with all the safeties on this thing there are better options for even last ditch defense. As a cheap range toy or to introduce somebody to shooting it's an affordable option.
