I always wonder what people think they are going to do with an unravelled paracord bracelet in a "survival" situation. I guess with the addition of the fire starter it makes sense...ok not really.

We got into into paracord at summercamp when I was a kid, it was just fun making stuff and learning different uses for it that we would never actually use. Decades later now it's become like this stereotypical survivalist meme and "they" have picked up on it.
Paracord is actually listed as a banned, zero-tolerance item at my cousins middle-school. Her handbook said: "While shoes strings or rope and string for special art projects are allowed any tactical rope including Paracord is forbidden."
Tactical rope?
At least they didn't call it Assault Rope. *deep sigh*
