Balancing the pros of both alloy and polyethylene, the A3's strike face is able to provide higher stopping power than a standalone polyethylene (PE) plate while the PE backer offers lighter weight and material that helps capture the round. The A3 provides protection against 5.56x45MM such as the mild steel penetrator M855 “Green Tip”, M193 Ball, and 7.62x51MM NATO M80 Ball. The A3 is 30% thinner than a standard polyethylene plate at only 0.7" as opposed to 1", 4.6 lbs and comes in an ergonomic design to wrap around your chest and back.
