The Springfield Armory Hellion delivers superior ballistic performance in a compact, adaptable bullpup platform, where the action is positioned behind the trigger, offering 16”, 18”, and 20” barrel lengths. This design allows for a short overall length without compromising barrel length, enhancing portability and downrange performance. Ambidextrous controls and a reversible case ejection system ensure the Hellion can be fired comfortably from either shoulder. Based on the Croatian VHS-2 bullpup used in harsh environments, the Hellion is a semi-automatic 5.56mm version for American shooters. New 18” and 20” models offer enhanced velocity and a configuration similar to the Croatian VHS-D2, featuring a ribbed forward barrel section for cooling and an integrated bayonet lug. Integrated flip-up sights and a continuous Picatinny rail allow for versatile optics mounting. The Hellion includes a Bravo Company USA BCMGUNFIGHTER Mod 3 grip and a five-position adjustable buttstock for shooter adaptability. The M-Lok compatible handguard provides accessory mounting options. It uses AR-pattern magazines and includes a 30-round Magpul PMAG. A hammer-forged 16” barrel with a 1:7” twist rate and Melonite coating ensures precision and durability. The Hellion also features a two-position adjustable gas system for optimal performance in varying conditions, making it a highly versatile and reliable firearm.
