In 2020, Glock released the Glock 22 with Gen 5 update. It includes standard Gen 5 features like a new nDLC (diamond-like carbon) finish on the barrel and the slide for improved durability and resistance to corrosion; the new Glock Marksman Barrel for better accuracy; flared magwell for simplified and more effective reloads; smoother trigger design, and more left-hand-friendly parts, like the ambidextrous slide stop lever. The finger grooves have been removed too, for a more adjustable grip. The pistol comes with three double-stack 15-round magazines.
