Thread size is obviously important but the size of the screw head of some of these screws can hit front glass of sight. So don't count on these...get several Amazon offerings

it works the same way a pump shotgun works.

there's a pump grip outside the handguard that you pump cycles the action: pull back it extracts the spent cart, ejects it, then going forward it feeds the next round from the top of the mag into the chamber and then locks until you either push the release button or the firearm cycles.

if it worked like a charging handle it would just be a weird semi-automatic rifle.
