These full size steel Italian EAA Witness and Tans are popular, and plenty of custom aftermarket parts exist, along w mags. IDPA shooters use the CZ and Italian clones because they run and run and have important features. The DA/SA trigger, curve, and safety reach are common issues but the tuned platform can be very satisfying. In general, CZ parts and clone parts are slightly different in size and fit so detailed customization may be more than you want. The famous USMC Col. Jeff Cooper called the CZ-75 the finest 9mm service pistol. Don't give up yet. Shoot as is, or stone the edges, replace the trigger, and stock up on mags. Here are some links:
