My issues are 2 fold.
First it is a .22lr and in my opinion not a viable self defense caliber. Sure it beats a stick if that's all you have but I've seen plenty of videos of the lacking performance in testing and real world scenarios that has made me against using a 22lr for self defense. By the time your intended attacker reaches close enough for a 22, your already in trouble and most likely even if you do manage to get a few rounds into an attacker who's hell bent on hurting you and your family, it will not put the threat down, failing to immediately shut off their lights....
Second is the price. Way too much for this gun.

This might be ok as a self defense pistol if your threat is some varmints on your farm...
This is obviously my opinion and you're entitled to yours.

I have one. Shot 1700 rounds through her and it is excellent. Trigger is great. A littlr wobble in the fit but not bad. Best money spent on a gun yet. Shoots better than a prodigy.

Just picked mine up 2 months ago when they came back in stock. I can't speak for any previous generations, but the current generation has a adjustable gas block and has cycled everything I throw at it, both suppressed and unsuppressed, 124gr all the way up to 220gr subs. The only thing I've noticed to grip at is the upper is cerakoted rather than anodized, so the brass deflector surface chips, rather than simply denting. No big deal to me, but I know some would complain. It's a tool, not a safe-queen. My only advise would be to grab one when they go on sale for $1,150.

I'd probably be more concerned that the short barrel and muzzle brake would rip your ears off! My BMG has more than twice as much barrel (so also has more weight to absorb recoil) but I have to say, the brake sucks it up pretty well. You definitely know when it goes off, but there's really not that much recoil.

Also, of course we understand the tradeoffs between weight, recoil, maneuverability, and muzzle velocity, but I think you're losing a LOT with such a short barrel for this caliber.
