The Ruger American Pistol has a recoil-reducing barrel cam, low-mass slide, low center of gravity and low bore axis. Its non-slip surfaces include functional slide serrations and grip/frame texturing for enhanced control. The American Pistol features a modular wraparound grip for adjusting palm swell and trigger reach to fit a wide range of hand sizes. Ergonomic grip modules lock in solidly and do not loosen.
