I think these are okay. Incorrect barrel bothers me the most, and limited warranty, which you may need. Poor resale. It's essentially a replica with a few original parts. I have 2 JRA builds, one very poor, one good, but nothing from them in the last 5yrs. If you can afford a Noveske you probably should consider Jeff Miller at Hillbilly Firearms, and build a Galil on a Tortort or CNC Warrior receiver. I think he's still operating, and is very knowledgeable. Or buy used from an auction site. If you handle a well-made Galil ARM with the correct markings, barrel, bipod, etc. you will regret the JRA. Just my opinion. Original Galil parts are harder to find now, like mags, decent furniture, tritium sights and bipods. Milled receiver builds are harder to recreate than typical stamped AK builds so quality is important. I have a soft spot for Galils.

That makes sense. The Galil’s gas system was designed around 5.56 NATO, so I figured weaker .223 loads might be a little less forgiving. Most of my ammo is 5.56 anyway, so it shouldn’t be much of an issue.

That’s actually one of the things that appeals to me. I don’t mind a heavier rifle if it shoots softer. The heat is definitely something to keep in mind, though. From what I’ve read, that’s pretty common with Galil-style rifles. At $930, I’m having a hard time convincing myself not to pick one up.
