Styer’s SM12 is a heirloom rifle with a distinct European style. It comes equipped with Styer’s innovative HCS (Hand Cocking System) – an advanced safety feature based on Styer’s Safe Bolt System. It replaces the conventional safety with a tang-mounted button used to cock and de-cock the rifle. When pushed forward, the HCS loads the firing pin, engages the trigger sear, and deactivates the SM12’s internal safety. When pulled back, the HCS unloads the firing pin, disengages the trigger sear, and activates the internal safety.
