I'm guessing that these came out of a prison system. I don't think many law enforcement departments use these anymore. I know back in the 60's and 70's they were a bit more popular as patrol car rifles. Not sure how old these are so it's tough to say. I have seen these in prison systems where distances are fairly short and an optic is not necessary.

Its a tough one.
There is definitely not more than 25% finish wear but the wear and blemishes in those limited spots llis very pronounced. At the offered price, I would not say you got ripped off, however it is not what was presented.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I wouldnt be very happy with mine of it looked like that.
Mine was in excellent condition and will likely rarely shoot it. I'll use my Sar2000 and K12 Sport and leave mine in the safe with a fancy set of grips.
