I saw one of their 300 AAC pistol kits for $299.99 yesterday. At that rate, I'll be building one soon. I would guess ammo price will only go down as popularity increases. I do generally prefer the heavier grain ammo, especially for personal defense, although I find it unlikely that I would be using an AR Pistol for that purpose. For me it would essentially be a range weapon only, or perhaps home defense if there's a safe way to do that with this caliber.

It looks like Taurus learned about the problem with Ruger LCP takedown pin and modified their design. This is similarly how I fixed my LCP, by filing a deeper groove in the pin so it must be rotated.
If this Taurus comes with 2 mags, then $199.99 (before rebate) comes pretty close to what I paid for my LCP after I bought a 7-round mag and a recoil calibration pack. The Ruger did come with a pocket holster which is handy.
I purchased one about a week after the dealer posted it, thought $399 was high considering the description. But next best thing was another used one for $499 and a new one for $629,so I took a chance. After the shipping charge and ffl xfer fee it brought my total to $439. Grips and recoil spring were shot, put on some cheap like new used factory grips and a new green recoil spring, all else was good on the inspection. Overall the gun is tight and shoots really well, barrel is in good shape, the night sights do work but are dim,All 3 8-round mags are in great shape and the finish is fair to good.
