So, the finish on these doesn’t hide as much of the aluminum imperfections as anodizing or Cerakote, but MAN they are easy to keep clean. Probably too much bling for a lot of folks, but I really like them.

Do these tarnish the same way the NIBX bolts do? Should I expect it to eventually be black from regular use?

Nickel does tarnish, yes. Part of the reason the BCGs turn dark color with use is due to the heat and gas exposure from the gas impingement system.

It’s still really slick and offers an easy to clean finish. WMB also offers a black version with this coating.

If you want something that is slick and hell, easier to clean than Nickle Boron, and will not tarnish, look at Nickle Teflon treated uppers. Right to Bear also has those in stock now and then.
