As a frangible bullet it’s made of sintered metal powder, and it retains its form until it collides with steel or other hard surfaces at high speed. At the instant of impact the frangible bullet disintegrates into tiny fragments and particles, thus virtually abolishing the risk of splash-back or ricochets.
