Description

The PPK/S .22 is identical to its PPK/S 380 brother, but you can shoot 22LR rimfire ammo for pennies a shot and recoil is minimal. PPK/S is the 1968 "Sport" version with longer grip, based on the legendary 1931 design. The top strap is cut with a wave to reduce glare and rear slide serrations make for non-slip grip and classic Walther styling. The internal slide stop reduces external snags. It has fixed steel sights and classic Walther checkered grip panels. The double action trigger of the PPK/S 22 has a 17.5 lb. pull while the single action has a 6.6 lb. pull. The beaver tail and magazine finger extensions improve shooting comfort. The PPK/S .22 is great for the whole family, a quality firearm to someday pass it on to the next generation. This model has a black frame with a black slide.

Are these a cheap Umerex type copy, or actual steel (not a zinc alloy potmetal). Further, do they have a threaded barrel?

The slide is pot metal. I have a real one, all steel, from West Germany made in 1979.

No. It’s a pot metal alloy. Get it right! Lol. But really, it’s just a fun gun. I don’t care if the slide is a zinc alloy. It’s not one of my primary... or seconaryfirearms.

Is that what they are calling it, pot metal alloy? Doesn't matter, its not steel. I agree its a fun gun to shoot. I think the frame may be steel though, anybody know?

No. They call it zinc alloy. I called it pot metal alloy as a joke. Yes, the frame is steel. You do know it’s just a 22lr plinker, right?

Yes I know its a 22. I have the West German 22 steel version and the Interarms model in 380 in stainless. I used to have the West German 380 blued version and never should have sold it. Also had the 32 caliber model in stainless which they don't make anymore. Probably should not have sold it either but got talked into it by someone who just had to have it and the offer was too good. Thanks for the info on the frame.

I've been trying to justify buying one of these in either .380 or .22 for a fun gun and to scratch that "Bond, James Bond" itch from watching all the 007 movies. Haven't been able to so far, but at this price it might happen soon.

A real James Bond fanatic would go .32 acp, but I agree with you .380 or .22 is more practical and less expensive to shoot.

Or a Beretta 418 in .25 acp.

Because I wanted it... I thought that was obvious.
