If you want one go get it . Production ending for a while.
Not a bad price, but truly bad guns in this day and age (I own one.)
Buy it as a collector's piece if you love how they look or are a big Bond fan. Don't buy it if you want a weapon that's actually enjoyable to shoot. Direct blowback action gives it a lot of kick for a .380, double action pull is ridiculous, it's heavy for its size, slide pull is heavy, the sights are a joke, grips aren't great, and slide bite. I really don't have anything positive to say about it as a shooter.
Looks great when it's polished up, though.
I have one too (Interarms Collectible) that I never shoot. My guess is that the two year pause on production is to do away with the fixed barrel design to get rid of the snappy recoil and also design a new take down system. It should be interesting to see what they come up with.
Mine's a Smith.
I wonder if the current design is really even that workable. Would probably be easier to just discontinue it altogether and start over from scratch.
Two years is a long time so maybe that's they intend to do.
