Vortex Venom Features:
The enclosed aluminum housing shields the emitter from debris and weather while an aspherical lens provides a distortion-free sight picture with true color. Fully usable in bright daylight, the dot has ten daylight-bright settings plus two night-vision compatible levels, and top buttons enable quick brightness and zero adjustments. Motion activation wakes the optic instantly after movement and a ten minute auto shutoff conserves battery life between engagements.
A large viewing window accelerates target acquisition and maintains situational awareness during rapid strings of fire. The optic is sealed against water and designed to resist fog and shock, and the side-load battery tray allows cell changes without removing or rezeroing the sight. The package’s parallax-free performance follows industry standards so any residual parallax is negligible in practical use.

Good dot… but the lowest dot brightness is still too bright for night vision. Should have just bought another holosun.
Only problem with these are the delta point pro mounting plate.
And here I thought the ridiculously high deck height was one as well. Especially on an optic with a side mounted battery. Like isn't that part of the reason for having that? And any sort of cowitness goes out the window yet they couldn't even bother with a backup sight on the deck.
Mine also doesn't always like to wake up, and I've read a few others having that issue as well. Hence mine doesn't have a home at the moment and my Osight SE does.

The DPP footprint turns out to be a hassle for finding an appropriate riser/mount that’s not almost as expensive as the optic if you want to mount on a rifle. Haven’t had problems and it seems robust, but haven’t used it much.
