90gr FTM-EXD Made from solid copper, the Fluid Transfer bullet is «barrier blind». It easily penetrates barriers including sheet metal, auto glass, while maintaining the ability to transfer energy to the target effectively. The Blue Line created massive amounts of drag within soft targets and was designed from the ground up to meet the FBI’s specifications for bullet performance and penetration. Rather than using the bullet’s energy to initiate expansion, like a the traditional deforming hollow point, the FTM-EXD redirects fluid radially, away from the projectile’s path through «flutes» on the bullet. The massive pressure difference created by the flutes concentrates fluid, as well as bone/tissue fragments, and rapidly accelerates them into their surroundings. By using a design that doesn’t rely on expansion, the FTM can provide more consistent and predictable performance across various situations.
