Wow, that sucks...hasn't happened to me yet luckily. I'm keeping my fingers cross though...I'm waiting on a few lowers, a bushmaster and a core15 from them. They did a good job at getting a mossberg to me within a reasonable amount of time after all this chaos kicked off but we'll see how the AR's work out.
Good luck with that I have heard nightmares lately about buds holding onto peoples money!
Word on the street is anyone who bought this is getting refunded because they are a LEO only gun and can not be sold to public. At least that is what buds is claiming. My guess is they just straight don't have them.
yep, that's the email I just got from Buds....
I looked up the model number and it's a LEO version, hope they did their research.
I can't believe how quick people are eating this stuff up!!! Although not a terrible price for the scare still high and they are already gone!.
Yeah, I agree. I picked up a Core15 for $1249 about an hour ago and those sold out even faster. Granted, that Core15 would normally sell for around $1100 before the scare hit and this S&W is the base model but still...if you don't have one, now is the time to get it.
I would of bought the core. Don't want the s&w especially with what was said about it being leo model.
Yeah, if you have an AR and don't absolutely NEED another, I wouldn't recommend the Smith either...not at that price. I don't understand the LEO model thing...I thought it was the same type of scenario as the Colt LE6920's that are marked "For Law Enforcement and Military Use Only", etc etc.
This is what I found out about the rifle when researching: Called S&W tech support today, and the 311000 model is a LEO sku and has stricter tolerances than the 811000 model, but the designs are identical.
As far as I always know the LEO/Military grade ones are always matter better aka made to last aka made to work when need be.
Gotcha. So that's a good thing right?
Maybe for you, but I live in NJ, so imagine how much harder its going to be for me to find one..... I did get lucky and bought a NFA complete lower, that was just delivered to my FFL today. I wouldn't mind a complete factory rifle, I can participate in more events at the club with it.
2 smith's up right now....

Ohhh...didn't think about that. Well, all I can suggest is to keep checking Bud's..they still have reasonable prices but when AR's come in stock, they don't stay that way for long. Take care.
I am about done with buds....placed an order on friday and today, both went through.....then 45 minutes I get emails saying that they messed up and will refund my credit card....so right now BUDS has over $2500 tied up on my credit card......
